Are you an experienced Surgical First Assistant (ODP) looking for a temporary opportunity to showcase your skills and expertise? Look no further Spire Harpenden Hospital, part of Spire Healthcare Ltd, is currently seeking a talented individual to join our surgical team for a temporary placement on the 26th of February 2024.

As a Surgical First Assistant (ODP), you will play a crucial role in the operating theatre, assisting surgeons during surgical procedures. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of the surgical process, supporting the surgical team, and providing high-quality patient care throughout the procedure.

Located in Harpenden, Hertfordshire, London, our state-of-the-art hospital offers a supportive and collaborative working environment, where you will have the opportunity to work alongside highly skilled healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assisting the surgical team during procedures, providing them with the necessary instruments and supplies.
- Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating theatre by adhering to infection control protocols.
- Preparing patients for surgery, including positioning and draping.
- Monitoring and documenting patient vitals throughout the procedure.
- Collaborating with the surgical team to anticipate their needs and ensure optimal efficiency.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Diploma in Operating Department Practice (ODP).
- Previous experience as a Surgical First Assistant (ODP) is essential.
- Excellent knowledge of surgical procedures and instruments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Commitment to providing excellent patient care.

**Working Hours and Compensation**:
This temporary position will be for a single shift starting at 07:30:00 and ending at 13:30:00 on the 26th of February 2024. The payment rate for this shift is £232.20.
