Due to an increased global growth my client is looking for an individual to join their Ocean Freight Operations department.

My client is renowned in the Freight Forwarding and Transportation industry and specialises in supply chain and logistics solutions, ground transportation, air and ocean shipments, customs clearance, and supply chain management. The company have provided freight forwarding services and logistics solutions for over 50 years.

The role will be dealing with the processing of shipments arriving to or from the UK by Ocean.

**Responsibilities**:

- Prepare import/export documents in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
- Liaise with other offices in the UK & overseas, reporting any discrepancies or specific requirements.
- Check shipping invoices & packing lists for accuracy.
- Communicate efficiently and effectively with internal and external customers, suppliers, and
other offices, as required by operational procedures.
- Contact delivery UK destinations to book in deliveries.
- Ensure that the company operates within all agreed operational procedures, and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
- Perform and correctly implement General Administration, e.g., invoicing, filing, queries, claims.
- Completion of Customs entries
- Monitoring shipments until delivery
- Job costing and invoicing

**Skills**:

- Previous experience within the Freight Forwarding Industry preferably as an Ocean Freight Operator
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects simultaneously.
- Ability to prioritise own workload but also be able to work as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Conversant in IT skills e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and CRM systems.
- Demonstrate working administrative background.
- Must have an analytical skill, with a high level of attention to detail.

**Salary & Work Pattern**:

- £27,000 - £35,000 - Dependant on experience
- Monday - Friday

**Salary**: £27,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
