Logistics People are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers to join our Team in Harworth, based at our ESL site.

Main Responsibilities:

- Ensuring that all equipment is stored correctly in line with depot safety standards.
- Ensuring all transport loads are secure and checked for safety and roadworthiness
- Complete associated paperwork to ensure accurate records are produced, update dedicated company computer systems as required.
- Adhere to all safety related documentation (Safe Systems of Work, Visual Task Sheets & Risk Assessments/Permits to work etc.) for all depot activities - Maintain work areas in a safe and clean condition.
- Manage the day-to-day running of the stores ensuring all reasonable demands can be met, ordering stock as required
- Check all stock in and out, ensuring orders match up with stock requirements and all documentation is correct
- Ensure HGV cab inspections are performed ensuring both drivers and vehicles adhere to Explore Transport’s exacting standards - Addressing / Escalating issues where applicable to line managers + clearing out cabs of leavers
- Maintain a professional working manner at all times - Ability to maintain / enhance existing relationships with wider internal and external stakeholders
- Management of accessories / auxiliary equipment stocks and issue - Straps / Securing & Lifting Chains etc - Communicate stock ordering requirements through the Compliance / Procurement Team
- Ensure auxiliary equipment stock levels are maintained at an agreed level (Quartermaster) - Own the issuing of and signing out of such equipment (ET & Subcontract Drivers) to ensure tight controls exist and costs are apportioned where necessary this includesbut is not limited to Timbers, PPE, Straps, Chains and other consumables
- To ensure all parked trailers have their park brakes applied where applicable and that they are parked in the correct areas
- Assist with governance of fleet compliance for base and designated satellite depots, VOR & lock trailers off etc and communicate to key stakeholders in business

Required Qualifications:

- Report of thorough examination for Small Lifting Equipment and Lifting Accessories
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Strong IT skills - Outlook / Excel / Word / Power Point Preferred
- Full HGV C+E Licence
- Telescopic handler licence (CPCS / NPORS)
- 3yrs industry experience
- ERP system Experience

**Experience**:

- Experience of stores systems and processes
- Operating telescopic handler
- Driving HGV - not essential

Skills/Knowledge:

- Experience of operations in a busy depot environment Key Areas
