The purpose of this role is to work across the Children’s Services Social Work Teams. The role will be office based between various locations with possibly some hybrid working available after full training is completed. To work closely with Social Workers/ Personal Adviser Teams and managers across the service, to support and assist them in the improvement of service delivery. To provide administrative support and Reception duties.

Key Responsibilities:

- Administrative support and reception duties (both face-to-face and over the phone).
- Data processing.
- Maintaining and updating computerised databases.
- Organise / maintain diaries.
- Support to meetings.
- General operational support to the team.
- Cash handling as required
- Collating various information to strict legal deadlines.

**Experience**:

- Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.

**Skills & Abilities**:

- Excellent customer care skills.
- Clear verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven keyboard and database skills.
- Excellent telephone skills, and the ability to produce accurate high quality work, alongside proven organisational skills.
- Able to use initiative, be able to work under pressure in a busy environment, and be committed to provide the best service possible to those requiring support.
- Have a non-judgemental approach to people who are accessing services and must be willing to work flexibly as part of a team to meet changing service needs - which may include working from other bases.
- Ability to use Welsh in the workplace would be desirable.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
