**Location**: One Angel Square and working from home.

Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf West Northamptonshire council for a Pensions Officer to provide operational services within the HR & Payroll teams relating to pension queries for Local Government Pension Scheme, Teachers Pension Scheme, FirePension Scheme and NHS Pension Scheme. To deliver a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail to both internal and external stakeholders with appropriate standards of customer care. To ensure an integrated approach to transactions assisting with theimplementation of new technologies, methodologies and processes that meet the needs of clients, customers, and client organisation.

The responsibilities include.
- Extract and manipulate data from a variety of complex sources including current and legacy systems to conduct reconciliation ensuring accurate information is sent to internal and external stake holders in line with the agreed processes, SLA/Administrationstrategy and relevant legislation across Local Government Pension Scheme, Teachers Pension Scheme, Fire Pension Scheme and NHS Pension Scheme.
- Responsible for investigating and resolving customer queries, suggestions, compliments, and escalating any complaints in accordance with the relevant procedures. In conjunction with Pensions Payroll Team Lead highlight any changes in process behaviour thatmay be necessary by making recommendations and implementing agreed changes to improve efficiency.
- Assist Pensions Payroll Team Lead with the manual data manipulation required for monthly report submissions for LGPS, TPS, FIRE and NHS schemes.
- For TPS, FIRE and NHS ensure casework is appropriately logged on workflow systems to administer a variety of operational pensions services.
- Carry out investigation work to update and log historic missing service queries across all pension schemes.
- Work as part a team supporting your colleagues in the execution of their respective duties and deliver training to colleagues on new system processes.
- Embed customer service excellence within the team through contributing to the design of customer focused processes, active participation in VIP conversations / own behaviours.
