This is an excellent opportunity to join the hospital based adult dietetic team in Fife. The Victoria Hospital is the largest hospital in Fife. The Team provide inpatient and outpatient services to a range of clinical specialties including critical care, acute stroke, surgery, gastroenterology, haematology, renal, respiratory and orthopaedics.

**Posts**: Two - 1.0 WTE Band 6 Specialist Dietitians

We are looking for two Dietitians with excellent clinical, organisational, communication and people skills to join the NHS Fife Nutrition and Dietetic Service. A knowledge and interest in nutritional support is desirable.

The posts are part of the Dietetic team who collectively provide the dietetic service to inpatients and outpatients at the Victoria Hospital and Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline.

The Dietitians work closely and collaboratively with other Teams within the Nutrition and Dietetic Service, Consultants, GP’s, nursing staff, AHP’s and the wider MDT Teams. The areas the post will cover will be dependent on your knowledge, skills and experience and the current service demands.

Nutrition & Dietetics Service
This is a Fife wide service, with a leadership structure arranged around clinical teams. These are Acute, Adult Weight Management & Child Healthy Weight, Diabetes, Mental Health & Learning Disabilities, Nutritional Support, Older People, Infant Nutrition, CYP and Paediatrics. We work collaboratively with the dietitian and nutritionists in the Health Promotion Food & Health Teams. Fife has a non prescribing ordering model (NPO) for oral nutritional supplements. We deliver a range of services using dietetic led models of care.

We provide undergraduate and graduate Dietetic student training for B & C placements every year. All staff participate in the delivery and organisation of the programmes. New graduates to Fife have an opportunity to participate in rotation across teams, as part of their continuing development. The Service arranges regular postgraduate training sessions and supports staff in their continuing professional development. The Service has good administration and IT support, social media and online resources.

Registered with HCPC, you will have the skills, competencies and experience appropriate for the posts. Induction and training will be provided to facilitate transition into your new role.

A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
