We are looking for an experienced HR professional with a keen interest in supporting organisational change to help guide one of our services through a significant restructure over the next 12 months. You will need to be well versed in all aspects of HR, as you’ll also be a key member of the wider operational team, supporting employee relations case work, policy development and HR projects as needed. However, your main focus will be providing expert HR advice and support as part of a project team managing an organisational change process; through consultation, structure redesign and, most importantly, effectively supporting our people through a period of change.

**The skills that will be of most importance are**: developing good relationships across the service, the HR team and the Trust; championing good practice; plus an awareness of the broader landscape in which our services operate and being able to practice all of this in accordance with our values.

You will work under the guidance of a HR Business Partner and alongside a great team of HR and OD professionals, as well as diversity and inclusion and health and wellbeing specialists within our People and OD Directorate, to deliver the best possible holistic approach to organisational change and people management.

Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) NHS Trust geographically covers nearly 6,000 square miles of varied terrain, from isolated moors and dales to urban areas, coastline and inner cities.

We serve a population of over five million people across Yorkshire and the Humber and strive to ensure that patients receive the right response to their care needs as quickly as possible, wherever they live.

We employ more than 7,100 staff, who together with over 1,300 volunteers, enable us to provide a vital 24-hour, seven-days-a-week, emergency and healthcare service.

YAS is a large and complex organisation so experience of a similar environment would be advantageous. NHS experience would be useful but is not essential and HR practitioners from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Experience of working with trade unions is essential.

Trust wide travel will be needed occasionally. We take a hybrid working approach with a mix of home and office-based time and the post can be based at either Trust HQ in Wakefield or Callflex in Wath Upon Dearne.
