**Our Security Officers will have the duty of**:

- Manning the University itself, the University Library and Student Accommodation.
- The Security Officer will manage the gatehouse - dealing with CCTV, issuing visitor cards and supporting students who have locked themselves out, re-gain access to their rooms.
- Escorting visitors across the site when needed.
- Remain 100% alert and vigilant at all times to detect and deter any suspicious or threatening behaviour
- Retaining full control of any threatening behaviour until the arrival of the police or any other external agency.
- Monitoring loss and waste - reporting any incidences.
- Patrolling Accommodation, University and Library.
- Excellent customer service, people skills, organisational skills and time management
- Ability to stay alert
- SIA License
- 5-year checkable employment history
