**Job description**

Jacobson Group, a leading supplier of footwear with brands including, Gola, Dunlop, Ravel, Lotus and Frank Wright, are looking to recruit flexible, friendly and experienced staff to join our team, working at our Oldham Warehouse and Rawtenstall Head Office sites.

You will be required to carry out planned and reactive maintenance on company equipment and within the company properties and will be responsible for ensuring that statutory compliance is maintained at all times.

You will be responsible for maintaining the condition of the equipment and property and will ensure that any issues are correctly identified, reported and responded to.

The role requires the postholder to be competent, work with mínimal direct supervision and be confident and capable of liaising with a range of internal and external contacts including managers, suppliers and contractors.

The postholder will be ‘hands on’ and responsible for providing a timely and effective response to reported faults and maintaining the general condition and repair of the property.

**Person Specification**:

- Multi-skilled to carry out general site repairs with previous experience of general property maintenance, or experienced and qualified in a trade with the ability to work across a number of trade disciplines to a good standard.
- Knowledge of safe working methods, including COSHH, asbestos awareness, Manual Handling, working at height etc.
- Awareness of Health and Safety issues and legal requirements.
- Excellent customer care skills with the ability to report outstanding actions and to keep individuals informed of progress.
- Excellent housekeeping, organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience of prioritising workload to meet competing deadlines without close supervision.
- To be proactive in approach, with the ability to use initiative and resolve issues or problems quickly and effectively.
- Holds a full driving licence
- Ability to work alone, or in a team and have a flexible approach to work.

- IPAF certification (Certified Training provided as necessary)
- PASMA certification (Certified Training provided as necessary)

The position would best suit a multi-skilled individual, confident across a number of trades. On occasion there may be some delivery driving.
