**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and oversee the estimating process for large scale Solar PV, Battery Storage & Renewable projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
- Analyze project scope and identify potential risks or opportunities for cost savings
- Develop and maintain a cost database of materials, labour rates, and equipment costs
- Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and proposals for clients
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process and provide guidance on cost control measures
- Stay updated on industry trends and changes in construction costs

**Requirements**:

- Experience & Knowledge in Solar PV and Renewable Technologies or related field (preferred)
- Proven experience as an Estimating Manager or similar role in the construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and costs
- Good analytical and mathematical skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and clients
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

The Estimating Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring accurate cost estimates for Installation projects. They are responsible for overseeing the estimating process from start to finish, collaborating with various Team Members, and providing guidance on cost control measures. **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year

Key Accountabilities will include:

- Develop, control and ensure delivery against the project budgets including profit, preliminaries and procurements
- Develop and implement detailed programmes and schedules which allow accurate monitoring and reporting of progress
- Implement all statutory regulatory and company requirements for managing Health and Safety
- Assist Project Manager in securing and managing the appropriate resources to deliver the project / scheme effectively and efficiently in a professional manner to ensure successful delivery within project constraints
- Assist Project Manager in ensuring there is a successful and smooth handover of the project, including support to customer/ end user throughout the handover process
- Establish a communications plan and agree accountabilities for team members.

You will:

- Have a successful track record in managing operational delivery within a construction environment.
- Be able to work under pressure to deadlines, and a flexible attitude towards work in order to deal with a variable and demanding workload
- Possess a CSCS Card and SMSTS qualified; must be willing to become First Aid qualified
- Be an excellent team player and team leader, able to work competently and independently without supervision
