**Job Opportunity: Night Transport Coordinator - Samlesbury**

**Location**: Samlesbury
**Shift Pattern**: 4 on 4 off

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Operational Excellence**: Oversee day-to-day transport functions, ensuring they're executed safely, legally, and cost-effectively. Achieve operational KPIs and customer expectations.
- **Customer Interaction**: Engage with customers, management, and warehouse personnel to address needs and provide updates on deliveries.
- **Driver Support**: Brief and debrief drivers, dispatch loads, and liaise with service providers to maintain vehicle maintenance standards and adhere to EU driver legislations.
- **Documentation**: Generate accurate documentation including booking details, record keeping, and relevant paperwork.
- **Problem Solving**: Effectively manage time, prioritise tasks, and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines. Escalate and resolve queries as needed.
- **Technical Competence**: Utilise computer systems for data input, stay organised, and perform administrative duties.
- **Health and Safety**: Maintain adherence to Health and Safety protocols, ensuring a safe work environment.

**Qualifications and Attributes**:

- Previous experience in transport planning or operations, ideally within complex logistics environments.
- Knowledge of distribution, logistics, and supply chain management within the industry.
- Familiarity with relevant legislation such as driver hours and vehicle weights is advantageous.
- Attention to Detail: Excellent accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
- Adaptability: Flexible attitude towards working hours, including availability for overtime.
- Team Player: Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in standard PC suites (Office, Excel, Outlook).
