Safeguarding Support Administrator

This post will primarily support the Safeguarding Service’s administration function, by focusing on its initial research function. The safeguarding service works with several partnership agencies through the Multi-agency Risk Assessment Conference (MARAC) / Daily Risk Assessment Meeting (DRAM) this is within the Front Door Safeguarding Hub process, with aims to enhance the protection of children and adults at risk.
The LYPFT Trust plays an integral role in researching individuals named in these multi agency reports to obtain initial information. The initial findings will inform the relevant practitioners in depth information gathering. Therefore, the accuracy and timely reporting is highly important due to timeframes and nature of the information shared. The post holder will then need to use bespoke systems to store and upload the information as required.
The post holder will require a good Knowledge of safeguarding processes and terminology in particular the MARAC front door and research process, and experience with filing systems, photocopying etc, a working
knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and a knowledge of a variety of software packages (i.e., Care Director / PARIS / Patient Records system / Oracle / Health Roster)
It is important that the post holder understands the responsibilities of working with confidential information and can make informed decisions within the boundaries of the role
The post holder will be expected to understand and recognise urgent messages and the need for appropriate response and action within the boundaries of the role and will be required to make simple judgements in relation to any document which requires analysis against set criteria.
