Harlow, United Kingdom The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust Full time

The MDT team within Cancer Services is on the lookout for an MDT Coordinator to join their growing service. If you are a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual this is a fantastic opportunity for you to build your skills and knowledge within a fast-paced service and develop your career pathway with the NHS.

You will be providing 'behind the scenes' support to patients who have been referred to the hospital to exclude a diagnosis of cancer and will assist in improving the pathways of suspected and diagnosed cancer patients.

If you are looking for a new challenge, enjoy variety in your work and wish to be part of a team striving to make a difference then we want to hear from you.

This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including facilitating and supporting MDT meetings and administrative duties to help guide the patient through the CWT pathway in line with national targets.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential as you will be required to liaise with staff at all levels associated with multi-disciplinary team working. You will need to be able to work well as part of a larger team as well as have the ability to work autonomously and be able to multi-task.

You should be able to demonstrate attention to detail, exceptional organisational skills and be able to manage changing priorities as they arise, in a calm and professional manner to ensure the smooth running and efficient service.

This is an exciting time for PAHT. Over the next five years we are on a digital transformation journey, leading us to our brand new hospital. You’ll be part of the team supporting our organisation in a diverse and challenging role; a role which can make a significant difference to our patients, staff and the future direction of our services.

Our people demonstrate energy and commitment towards improving the care and experiences provided to our patients and the drive to be an ‘outstanding’ organisation.

It’s never been a better time to join us.

You will also have an excellent understanding of patient pathways across all tumour sites, to ensure that pathways are recorded accurately. You will track patients through their cancer pathway ensuring that they progress in a timely way ensuring they meet the national standard.

You will attend both weekly PTL and MDT meetings to discuss and track patients on their pathways. They will need to produce, update and circulate the required material for discussion
