**Product Support Engineer**
**Salary**:£25,500 + £2k bonus
**Location**: Southampton
Hours: 39 hours per week as follows:

- Monday to Thursday - 8.00 to 16.30
- Friday - 8.00 to 15:30

**Overview** We are a manufacturer and distributor of global floorcare solutions based in Southampton. Part of a US Corporation we have world class development facilities, access to an even wider range of product permutations and extensive sourcing options includingmanufacture globally. The purpose is to support our customers with the introduction and day to day management, which includes product documentation and testing, of new and existing products.
**The role**
You will be liaising with the internal product development teams ensuring product development schedules are maintained and completed on time. You will assist in the development of test protocols, conduct performance and product/component life-testing and reportresults to relevant team members, proposing and implementing solutions and improvements as required.
- You will liaise with both customers and factory(s) on product development, product changes on current products and provide support to our customers. There may be a requirement for the occasional UK or overseas travel at short notice.
- Document management and maintenance including parts drawings, user manuals, technical files for certification approvals and Bills Of Materials are an essential part of the position.
- You will assist in obtaining product certification for example CE, EMC and global regulatory requirement, some knowledge within this area would be beneficial.
- Some product design/modelling for in-house product is required and therefore a working knowledge of 3-D CAD systems would be advantageous.

Technical Skills & Experience
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in working within a new product introduction and support environment
- Working knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes
- A working knowledge of product certification
- Computer literate, especially with Word, Excel, Outlook, and general administration
- 3-D CAD design experience

Education level
- Degree / HND / HNC qualified.

**Benefits**:
