This is a great role to start your career as a Pharmacy Assistant, as you’ll receive all the training and support you need to be your best.

You will be a key member of staff in helping us develop the pharmacy service which continues to develop in line with the NHS plan for pharmacy.

As part of the Pharmacy Stores Team you will receive in deliveries from Wholesalers & Couriers, check the deliveries are correct, receipting on the HIVE computer system, and flagging any discrepancies in a timely manner. Using good Manual Handling practice you will help move the goods and unpack the deliveries on to the correct storage locations. You will also help us manage and main the Automated Dispensing systems (Robots) within the Inpatient Pharmacy at Wythenshawe Hospital.

Previous pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided. You will be required to study for and gain an NVQ 2 qualification, if you already hold a level 4 qualification you may be required to self-fund this qualification.

There will be a requirement to participate in extended hours working including late nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.
