**The Role**

We’re on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Quality Team Leader who’s passionate about ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality. In this role, your main responsibilities will be managing the QC team’s workload and ensuring stock availability whilst consistently upholding our commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers. You will also play a pivotal role in supporting our Quality Manager with quality assurance activities such as product testing and international compliance and standards; this is a fantastic opportunity for someone wanting to progress and develop technical expertise in this field.

Initially, this role will be situated at our Scunthorpe warehouse, transitioning over time to our Brigg warehouse. Travel between these sites will be necessary, and own transport is essential.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Supervise the QC team, providing guidance, training, and support as needed.
- Manage resources effectively to ensure stock availability and the smooth running of the QC team.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging active participation in quality initiatives whilst aiming to reduce waste and costs.
- Promote lean manufacturing principles and provide training on the use of tools such as 5S to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Investigate customer complaints and conduct non-conformance investigations in a timely manner and provide feedback to the relevant department.
- Organise and implement any necessary re-work activities.
- Complete QC reports and update the QC log with progress on ongoing inspections.
- Report any identified quality or compliance issues to the Quality Manager.
- Ensure health and safety procedures are being followed by the QC team, company employees, and any visitors.
- Update the ERP system with any stock adjustments required.
- Continuously monitor and update packaging data on the ERP system in line with international compliance standards.
- Support the Quality Manager with various duties, including but not limited to, arranging third party inspections at supplier sites; review and file test report and QC reports; and answer product-related customer queries.
- Provide cover for all quality-related matters in the absence of the Quality Manager to include product testing and international product compliance. Training will be provided.

**Skills and Experience**
- Prior experience within a quality role is essential
- Degree or equivalent level of education is desirable
- Team leading experience is essential
- Knowledge of AQL implementation desirable
- Positive attitude and ability to motivate a team
- A self-starter with excellent prioritisation skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- IT proficiency
- Good problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing
- Own transport is essential for this role
