**Title: Mail Sorter / Van Driver**
Our Client in **Bournemouth** requires a Courier/Mail Room Assistant in the Bournemouth area. This is a **6 month contract** to start as soon as possible.
This position is to maintain internal communications between departments and establishments providing a courier delivery service of mail and other items and various associated office administration/reporting functions in the mail room.
**Responsibilities**:
- Sort and collate all internal and external mail for onward delivery to agreed drop off points as appropriate and in accordance with any Service Level Agreements
- Deliver and collect mail and other items around the Borough by van
- Ensure that incoming and outgoing mail is processed in accordance of priority
- Collect all outgoing mail from mail points around the buildings and collate and frank mail in time for agreed Royal Mail Collection deadlines
- Process mail using mail room equipment (Franking machine, folder inserter's, letter openers etc)
- Cover other roles within the Facilities team as required
- Communicate with other team members, staff, visitors, contractors, members of the public and Councillors
- Some heavy lifting and walking up and down stairs delivering packages and mail to departments
**Requirements**:
- Full UK Driving license
- Good organisational skills
- Reliable and punctual
- Time keeping
**The Package**:
- 830am-5pm
- Monday to Friday
- £11.59ph
