**Permanent, Full Time (40 hours per week)**

We are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor, to join MSPS on our total asset management contract with Westminster City Council. Based out of our office at Goldney Road, Maida Vale, the role will involve managing the commercial elements of our plannedworks stream. Works include Retrofit, FRA and other adhoc planned works such as roofing replacements, adhoc refurbishment projects to stock owned or maintained by Westminster City Council with a budget in excess of £10m per annum.

**About the Role**

As our Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will manage the day-to-day commercial control, reporting and management of multiple projects from award up to final account, ensuring the Commercial Manager / Head of Commercial are appraised of all progress. You willbe responsible for the day to day management of a small team of commercial professionals including AQS’ and QS’.

Within the role, you’ll keep your line manager appraised of the progress of all accounts, both client and sub-contract, through to finalisation. You’ll have effective commercial control of all allocated projects, including the provision of timely submissionof valuations, invoicing, cash collection, CVR reporting, valuation, and payment of supply chain. You will ensure that forecasts are achieved or exceeded where possible to ensure maximum profitability and value for MSPS and our clients.

In conjunction with the operational team you will drive productivity, identify opportunity to ensure that regional goals are achieved.

In conjunction with the Procurement Team, you will ensure that the procurement of sub-trades and suppliers is undertaken in a timely and cost effective manner and manage the timely production of the main/sub-contract final accounts, including re-measurementas necessary to ensure the best result, evaluation and agreement of all variations, extensions of time, loss and expense claims.

**About You**

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor who has knowledge and understanding of measurement and valuation, with strong commercial skills to maximise value recovery. You’ll also have a good understanding of budgets and forecast management,CVR’s and supplementary financial reports and final accounts. Knowledge of planned maintenance is a must with experience of Retrofit or FRA works also desirable. Competency in IT systems and packages is essential with knowledge of Dynamics 365 and/or COINSalso desirable. The right person for this role will also have had experience of managing teams and be able demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to develop a small team of QS’ and AQS’. A proven background of working with operational teams is essentialand the ability to ensure that production and cash collection are continually driven to hit business targets and expectations. This person will also drive new business with our clients to maximise value and opportunity for all stakeholders.
