Fabrication Operative

Solar Windows Limited has operated across Wales and England for over 30 years, and are at the forefront of technology and innovation in the design, manufacture and installation of Windows, Doors and Fire Doors in the commercial marketplace.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Developing and maintaining a robust housekeeping approach.

2. Ensuring adherence to Health and Safety standards and ensuring procedures are always followed.

3. Ensuring adherence to company quality systems.

4. Monitoring and maintaining production process to ensure finished product meets all relevant specifications.

5. Ensuring production schedule is adhered to.

6. Ensuring all production activities are monitored to minimised downtime and scrap levels.

7. Communicate performance inefficiencies, Health and Safety or quality issues to the Supervisor/Department Manager.

8. Ensuring all relevant production administration is completed.

**Person Specification**:
1. Flexible attitude to working hours.

2. Good communication skills (written & verbal).

3. Able to work to tight deadlines.

**Qualifications/Skills**:
Experience within a window and manufacturing or production environment, essential.

Experience of manufacturing composite doors, advantageous.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: From £10.50 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- windows and door manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)
