We are recruiting an Administrator to join our fast-paced team based in Birmingham. You will be an integral part of a lively operational information centre, responsible for minimising the effects on National Highways Network of current and forecast incidents.

We cover a 24/7 service 365 days a year, therefore you will be comfortable working six shifts on and four days off, which will include two earlies (6am-2.30pm), two lates (1.30pm-11pm) and two night shifts (9pm-6.30am).

**What you'll be doing**:

- Receive information regarding events and incidents occurring, assess the information then create and manage events on the National Traffic Information Service (NTIS) system
- Assist with the management of events and incidents via the setting of Variable Message Signs across the Strategic Road Network (Ultimately updating the big signs you see on the motorway)
- Monitor traffic data to help detect current events
- Validate and manage automated roadwork events
- Ensure that all collaborators and other interested parties are advised and consulted in accordance with agreed procedures
- Liaise with internal clients

**Salary**: £22,660 inclusive of flex fund, plus 15% shift allowance
Benefits: 25 days annual leave with the choice to buy additional days, life assurance, pension, and flex fund.
