**It’s no secret that there are endless opportunities for people in working in care - so why choose us?**
Capability Scotland offer care, support & education to disabled people across Scotland. Besides the endless job satisfaction you’ll get from helping people with their personal & practical needs, your day will be filled with fun community based activities with our young customers from attending school, to the football, the cinema or having a giggle at our games or themed days.
**We have full time, part time and relief vacancies in our residential & life-skills services based in rural Lanark ML11 7RR.**
**We can offer a variety of shifts from (9am-4pm) Monday-Friday in our life-skills service or dayshifts (7.30am-3pm), backshifts (2.30pm-10pm), nightshifts (9.45pm - 8.45am) and even evenings and weekends 8am-8pm in our residential service. We are happy to consider any availability.**
**Don’t let concerns over experience or availability hold you back.** Our services are client led, based on their individual needs and planned community based activities, meaning we need to have staff on hand with a variety of skills & availability to meet their needs.
**New to care?**
If you have strong caring values; you are kind, inclusive, open, honest, aspirational and creative - you don’t need experience. We will invest in you so you can bring out the best in the people we support. Whilst experience is desirable, you will receive in-depth training, specific to the individuals who you will be caring for. We also offer paid SVQs and numerous pathways for career progression. Most of our Senior Management team have worked in all roles, meaning they are present in the services and understand how things are, particularly in these challenging times.
**What is a Support Worker?**
Stanmore House Residential acts as both a boarding element to Stanmore House School and a residential and respite service for the children of Scotland. The young people we support are aged between 5 & 20 with a variety of complex disabilities. You would support them to live independently in our bright, fully adapted, residential & school campus based in the outskirts of Lanark. Our 4 bungalows can host up to 16 people in total. You will be supporting our customers on either 1-1 or group care; your day will include helping them with their personal care, dressing, medication, mobility, mealtimes, attending school & appointments and participating in their chosen activities for that day.
Our amazing life skills service Support Workers, support people up to age of 26, in a mock-home set up, to learn life skills such as cooking, domestic tasks and money management to prepare them for independent living.
