Are you a Nurse or Paramedic Prescriber, confident in the clinical decisions you make and looking for varied work in Unscheduled Care?
As part of the Integrated Urgent Care (IUC) team, with GP colleagues and Pharmacists you will form part of a wider Clinical workforce team, assessing, receiving patients as they present with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, offering treatment,advice or referral as appropriate.
You will clinically assess acutely unwell patients in HUC’s out of hours base in Hertford. There are opportunities to also work in nearby bases and they are located in Stevenage, Watford, Luton, Bedford and Harlow.
This role offers a combination of face to face consultations and telephone triage. Referrals are from NHS111 and you will be confident in telephone consultations. Patient groups include infants, elderly care and end of life.
Working as part of a 24/7 multi disciplinary team, we can offer evening and weekends.
**You must be a Registered Nurse or Paramedic with**:
- Minor Illness and Prescribing qualifications
- Experience of working in an urgent/unscheduled care setting
- Confident in making decisions autonomously is essential
- Excellent communication skills
