**Exam Invigilator**

This is a part time role that requires flexibility around days and hours as its 'as and when' contract for 6 months. You will need to be able to drive and have your own car as you will also need to travel to other site: North Essex, Clacton and Witham.

**Location**: Colchester

**Rate of pay**: £9.72 per hour

**Hours of work**: Ad-hoc hours

**Responsibilities**:

- Contributing to setting up examination venues by laying out stationery
- Referring any queries regarding learner entry to the examination to the exams officer
- Checking learner ID to establish legitimacy of entry to the examination in progress
- Responsible for ensuring that examination conditions are maintained throughout the examination and checking attendance
- Ensuring learners with access arrangements are given the specified support throughout the examinations
- Responsible for recording details of any absences from the examination room, including short term
- Collecting and collating scripts at the end of the examination
- Administering computer examined procedures to end and submit scores

**Experience**:

- Experience of working or studying in a higher education environment - preferred
- An understanding of examination processes - preferred
- Effective oral/ written communication skills
- Good numeracy skills - essential
- Basic IT literacy - essential
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines - essential
- Interpersonal skills with the ability to be diplomatic, gain the confidence and treat information confidentially
- Flexible availability to assist with morning and evening examinations
