**Mechanical Buyer**

**Company & Responsibilities**:

- Manage procurement of standard and bespoke goods and materials, at best value, with a view to improve prices.
- Build and Maintain supplier relationships, negotiating prices.
- liaising with contract mangers on suitable delivery for ongoing and forthcoming projects.
- Support tendering function with up to date pricing information.
- To assist with the procurement of hired plant and equipment.
- Deal with invoice queries, credit notes and chase orders where required.

**Skills and Experience**
- Background in mechanical required.
- Previous experience in a purchasing role would be beneficial.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Prioritising multiple responsibilities within a fast paced environment.
- Ability to work proactively alone and alongside colleagues to meet deadlines and timescales
