**About the Role**

As a trainer you will be responsible for conducting training throughout the company to IPC & ISO industry standards as required by the business.

**Main responsibilities**:

- To carry out training, maintain and improve standards in line with industry standards - including the basics of soldering, mechanical assembly and wiring (training will be provided
- To carry out inductions for new starters, agency workers and apprentices
- To maintain & update training on the training matrix and on factory control systems once the individual is deemed competent
- To maintain training records held on file
- To organise upcoming training sessions (IPC, third party & process based) and liaise with managers and evaluate the effectiveness of these sessions
- To create a training plan/training needs analysis according to individuals’ needs and skills
- To record training hours (internal and external)
- To participate in relevant audits (external / internal)
- To ensure a supply of training materials are available for training purposes
- To send training updates to managers so they are aware of where their teams are at with training
- To occasionally carry out general production duties in line with business needs
- To ensure the training room is kept clean and tidy
- To provide PPE and work uniforms to all new starters
- To assist with supporting apprentices throughout their apprenticeship
- To assist in collaborating with educational establishments and attending career fairs

The above is not an exhaustive list of day-to-day responsibilities. Duties should be carried out in accordance with local work instructions and procedures. There may be a requirement for some flexibility within this role.
