**Working Pattern: 40 hrs per week - Monday to Friday**

**Location: Gamston, Nottingham**

**The Job**

We are looking for a Drainage Foreman to join our Environmental & Operations Support Team.

Key areas of responsibility will include:
- To allocate works to staff, ensuring tasks are delivered safely to a high standard, on time and to budget
- To over-see a variety of tasks including investigating problems on network repairs and to use specialist equipment to ensure works are completed to a high standard
- To comply with relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, to take responsibility for own and others health and safety and welfare ensuring the working environment is safe for colleagues and customers
- To be responsible for all plant, equipment, vehicles and materials allocated to your team ensuring they are being used correctly and daily checks are completed and defects reported
- To ensure own conduct, and those under your supervision, while undertaking tasks associated with works delivery, are at an acceptable level and enhance the reputation of the company
- To complete relevant paperwork requested by your line manager including, risk assessments, site induction etc

**The Person**

Mainly you will be excited to be a part of our Environmental and Operations Support Team, but there are just a few other things we’d like from you:

- Relevant experience and knowledge of running a team in the delivery of works
- Cat B driving licence and Driver CPC
- To hold industry recognised qualifications, New Roads and Street Works Act, First Aid, High Pressure Jetting Association (desirable)
- NVQ level 3 in highways maintenance or equivalent experience
- Good written and communication skills and the ability to manage own workload
- Previous experience in highways drainage works
- Willingness to work outside of normal working hours in emergency situations
