**Responsibilities**:

- Maintain the planter boxes positioned around Huddersfield town centre, currently in the care of Huddersfield BID- during March to November
- To perform jet washing jobs around the Huddersfield BID Zone
- To remove graffiti from premises owned by Huddersfield BID Levy payers
- Repair broken or damaged fixtures,
- Paint interior and exterior surfaces as directed by the BID Manager
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Assist with customer service and welcome tasks during winter months
- Carry out gritting of roadways and paths in the winter when needed
- Provide horticultural advice regarding planting and design
- **Qualifications**:
Proven experience as a maintenance person or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of various construction, maintenance tools and equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems independently
- Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina
- Good communication skills to interact with both clients and team members
- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in maintaining landscaped areas and have a green thumb.

**About you.**
- You’ll be motivated and passionate about making a difference to our external landscape
- You’ll have a full clean UK driving licence - this is essential as it is a mobile role
- You will really enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions
- You’ll have a good knowledge of Health & Safety
- Some relevant gardening/horticultural skills, experience or qualifications
- An understanding of grounds maintenance and upkeep needs
- In addition to, you will have a strong organisational skills and an ability to multitask
- Be able to naturally work well both with others, and alone under mínimal _(often none)_ supervision
- You will have good Customer service skills
- You will takes pride in your work

**Please note a** **valid driver's license will be required**

Hours of work

8 am to 1 pm

Pay
- £11.50 per hour

22.5 hours per week (£13171.80 annual)

Monday to Friday
- Some weekend and additional hours would be expected for major events and festivals
