Physiotherapist - Band 6

**The Client**:
My client is the principal provider of community-based healthcare services to the 1.2 million population of Hertfordshire who provides a wide range of high quality health services to people in their homes, in local clinics, in schools and in their communityhospitals.

This Community hospital is a 25 bed inpatient community hospital. Patients are referred in from acute trusts following illness and surgery or from home as prevention of admissions cases. They follow one of three pathways; a 19 day rehab pathway, a complexpathway of 28 days and a NWB pathway. We are currently a COVID negative unit, were patients are swabbed prior to admission.

**The Role**:
We are looking to recruit an HCPC registered Band 6 Physiotherapist for a 03 months locum contract, starting as soon as possible.

This includes delegating workload to the therapy assistants / physiotherapy students. An awareness of the following outcome measures and clinical assessments is desirable: elderly mobility scale, patient functional score, patient reported outcome measures,extended falls assessment, berg balance, Tuag test. They need to play an active part in discharge planning including liaising with the multidisciplinary team about equipment and care needs, and making referrals to other outside services such as: intermediatecare teams, neurological community teams and outpatient rehab services.

Experience of using system one for documentation and use of a Smart card is essential. Good communication skills are essential for handovers, MDMs and integrated multidisciplinary team working. Understanding of safeguarding, moving and handling, informationgovernance, and infection control. Full PPE, training and guidance will be given.

Work schedule would be 30.00 hours per week Monday through Friday 08.30- 16.30 hours. (Weekend shifts may be available if needed but will be discussed prior to implementation.)

**Requirements**:

- Hold Physiotherapy degree (MSc or BSc) and full HCPC registration.
- Relevant experience is essential.
- UK license and access to a car to travel around the locality.

Experience in orthopedics, care of the elderly, and neurology is a must
