Chelsea Hall School is an Independent Special School for students aged 4-11 with mild to moderate, complex learning needs. We are part of the Cavendish Group, a unique group of educational independent day and boarding schools. We work closely with the otherschools in our group and believe in 'thinking differently’ and being as creative as possible in our teaching.

We are seeking to recruit a highly organised Assistant Bursar/Office Support. You will need to work flexibly to meet all your responsibilities and deadlines. This is a junior position, with **scope for growth and progression**.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY**

**General Human Resources Administration**
- Keep up-to-date records of staff absence and liaise with payroll as appropriate
- Liaise with payroll on a monthly basis with staff absence information, extra time, etc.
- Manage administration of parental leave, long term sick leave, etc.
- Hold back-to-work interviews after staff sick leave
- Keeping list of staff who have access to the website up-to-date
- Manage and strengthen appraisal process
- Complete Annual School Census (liaising with Senior Administrator / Registrar)

**Finance Responsibilities**
- Upload invoices onto Xero for payment by the bursar
- Liaise with the bursar on any financial questions they may have
- Manage petty cash
- Monitor and update petty cash spreadsheet
- Monitor and update budget spreadsheets
- Place supplies / consumables orders in agreement with the headteacher
- Invoice parents / local authorities on a termly basis and chase up missing payments
- Provide Local Authorities with relevant information on invoices

**Kitchen Staff Management**
- Organise catering for events, including refreshments for day to day meetings
- Liaise with kitchen staff on behalf of the headteacher
- Maintain up-to-date allergy list for staff

**Other responsibilities**
- Working with the head teacher to prepare documentation / presentations for Board of Governors, Parents’ evening, etc.
- Please note that questions on safeguarding will also be asked during the interview so as to check on your awareness of safeguarding procedure and anticipate potential training needs. All staff members receive child protection and PREVENT training uponemployment, unless they have recently undergone such training._
