Maintenance Assistant

We are looking for a hands-on problem solver to join our team at based The Grange Hotel but travelling to the other hotels within the group.

This role will report to our maintenance manager. meals will be provided when travelling to the hotels within the group. Working away will be required for up to a week with accommodation and meals provided. You will be working alongside our maintenance manager. This is a great role for someone looking to grow within a large organisation with scope for future growth.

You will play a key role in ensuring our hotels run smoothly and that our guests have a fantastic stay.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Perform skilled painting work in the preparation, patching, finishing, and maintaining of interior and exterior surfaces.
- Assist in the maintenance and repair of hotel facilities, equipment, and guest rooms.
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance tasks such as cleaning extractor fans, descaling shower heads and fire safety equipment checks.
- Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
- Collaborate with our talented team to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Regularly inspect hotel rooms and public areas, reporting any issues promptly.

**Requirements**:

- Must have painting skills.
- Previous maintenance experience required.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing and electrical supplies.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- experience in using power tools
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items as needed.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
