- **Duties/Responsibilities**_

Liaise with the Hire Desk to allocate and prepare generators and ancillary equipment for hire on a daily basis;
Organise and manage Engineers and yard staff to ensure smooth and efficient running of all yard-based work;
Deputise in the absence of the Depot Manager

Allocation and preparation of equipment for hire and source equipment from outside the Depot.

Support Engineers and customers with any technical issues;
Liaise with Storeman on a daily basis for workshop parts requirements;
Supervise safe loading and unloading of vehicles, ensuring everything on delivery/ collection notes are accounted for.

Booking in of equipment on InspHire;
Ensure booking in and out of all equipment is carried out to a high standard and in line with company procedures

Supervise general housekeeping to ensure work areas and yards are tidy; ensure all equipment is in its allocated area.

Completion and submission of all company paperwork as per procedures in a timely manner;
Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork;
Support allocation of new fleet, modification and disposal;
Assist with fleet audits;
Ensure company vehicle or occasional loan vehicle when supplied, is kept clean and tidy at all times, serviced within manufacturer’s guideline, and ensure any defects are notified to correct parties and rectified in a timely manner;
Promote teamwork and co-operation at all times, both within HO and right across the entire Generator Power Group of Companies;
Always act in the best interests of any of the Generator Power Group of Companies, and not to carry out (or fail to carry out) any action that would bring the company into disrepute;
Always work in a responsible manner to ensure safe working practices. Follow Health Safety Quality and Environmental guidelines provided by the company - currently ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures, including all future notifications;
Proactively contribute to the company’s policy of continuous improvement;
Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties that are requested by the Managing Director or the Management Team.

**Experience required**:
Previous experience of Depot Foreman
Experience of working on/with generators/plant equipment/heavy engineering (or similar)
Experience with Microsoft Office/IT

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Inverness: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- generator: 3 years (preferred)
- depot foreman: 3 years (preferred)
- heavy plant machienary: 3 years (preferred)
