Michelle Denny Recruitment are delighted to be partnering Linen Press, a small prestigious family run business, based in Beccles, Suffolk who specialise in delivering a professional approach to their clients dry cleaning, laundry and pressing requirements. Linen Press are renowned for delivering high quality service using the latest technology whilst ensuring their practises are environmentally sound. They are in the search for a full-time Trainee Dry Cleaning Operative who can bring the same level courtesy and consideration that they consistently provide to both clients and products.
Hours of work will be 40 hours a week 8am - 4pm Mon-Fri | Salary £23,795
It would be fabulous if you have previous experience within this industry, however full training will be given to the right applicant, you will however require:
- A personable nature with great customer service skills.
- The ability to use your initiative and work safely within an environment working with chemicals.
- Conscientious in nature with a high level of attention to detail and meticulous work ethic.
- The ability to work well with others.
- A good level of fitness, as you will be on your feet for long periods of time.
- Adaptability, be flexible, open to change and someone who can think on their feet.
- The ability to be very hands on with a willingness to learn.
- Be confident whilst carrying out till work and cash handling duties.
On a typical day you could:
- Take items from customers and give them a collection ticket.
- Sort items according to colour and fabric type and check for damage.
- Tag articles with bar codes or computer chips for easy identification
- Work with pressing and laundry machines.
- Programme machines to match the fabric and the amount of soiling.
- Add cleaning fluids and chemicals adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Check, press, fold or hang the items after cleaning.
- Return cleaned items back to customers and handle all forms of payments.
- Keep work areas clean and tidy.
