American Holidays are part of the World’s largest collection of travel brands, the Travelopia Group, they are also Northern Ireland’s leading tour operator having specialised in travel to North America for over 35 years Their team have a real passion for the destinations that they offer and frequently immerse themselves in all the variety that American culture has to offer.

We are now searching for ambitious and driven Personal Travel Planners to join our team. Our Personal Travel Planners are responsible for curating memorable holiday itineraries by using their in-depth knowledge to provide an unforgettable experience. They are highly motivated, enthusiastic and proactive with a thirst for sales, travelling and ensuring our customers get an outstanding customer experience from enquiry to returning back from their holiday.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Plan and create tailormade itineraries based on the customer’s requirements.
- Deliver exceptional service to customers providing a prompt response to queries, develop relationships and making appropriate recommendations.
- Working toward sales targets with incentives.
- Maintain a strong awareness of the current product offering and develop that knowledge through self-development as well as opportunities to attend educational trips to our destinations.
- Ownership and Accountability of own quality of work to minimise risk of errors.
- Provide feedback to team leaders on customers/market/ any relevant information affecting conversion.
- Share knowledge among the team - feedback and present from trips.

**Who are we looking for?**:

- 3+ years experience working as Travel Agent or Tour Operator.
- Experience using a GDS system such as Amadeus is highly advantageous
- Commercial awareness with excellent attention to detail.
- Pro-active problem solver.
- Take ownership of own performance and development.
- Confident, self-motivated and excellent collaborator.
- Ability to be flexible supporting business events, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
