The Role:
M&G plc is a FTSE 100 company created in October 2019 when the business demerged from Prudential Plc.

M&G plc is required to produce consolidated IFRS financial statements and Group Solvency II reporting. This role is responsible for supporting the Group’s external reporting with a focus on the regulatory components. It is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic actuary to be involved in the financial reporting for a listed group.

Key Work Level Responsibilities:
Experienced Colleague
- Accountable for providing a quality service or product to customers and stakeholders, using skills/experience built through significant practical experience or training
- Works within established frameworks and procedures, with the freedom to interpret them to solve a range of problems
- Delivers outputs that are clearly defined, using discretion over how to achieve them
- Makes suggestions for improvements to the work of the team, based on previous experience and knowledge of similar situations
- Problem solving may be a key part of the role but problems are concrete, likely to have been seen before and with precedent to help resolve them, unfamiliar problems are passed up to Manager
- Network with colleagues in team and peers in business area
- May interact with customers, potentially solving issues or dealing with escalations - within clearly defined boundaries

Key Responsibilities:
Working within the Group External Reporting team this role will:

- Support the production of Group regulatory reporting including SFCR, RSR, regulatory engagement, Solvency II and capital metrics including capital generation.
- Support the delivery of the Group’s Solvency II Pillar III narrative reporting
- Support the process to produce the other financial sections of Group reporting.
- Maintain effective working relationships with other teams in M&G plc Finance ensuring that Group reporting needs are communicated, understood and met.
- Support other reporting initiatives as required.

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Be a qualified actuary
- Be a quick learner
- Have knowledge of IFRS and Solvency II reporting requirements
- Have experience of the actuarial components of insurance accounting, including requirements of IFRS and Solvency II
- Have a good knowledge of industry trends, best practice and developments, good networks / links with external bodies and individuals in the same field
