**Here’s what you’ll be doing**:
As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting their clients with a diverse range of needs, ensuring the smooth operation of their accounting processes. Your responsibilities will include:

- Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Processing and managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
- Conducting bank reconciliations and managing petty cash transactions.
- Preparing VAT returns and assisting with year-end tax processes.
- Collaborating with the wider accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as a primary point of contact and addressing their queries and concerns.
- Assisting clients in managing their bookkeeping and financial records, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Utilising Xero and other accounting software to perform various accounting tasks efficiently

**What you’ll need to bring to the table**:

- Minimum of 2 - 3 years of experience working in a practice environment
- Proficiency in using accounting software, with previous experience using Xero highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and tax regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain financial information clearly.
- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to providing exceptional client service and building positive relationships.
- And probably most importantly. A passion for delivering outstanding service to your clients
