Private Tutor

This role requires you to have your own transport. Ideally based in Lancing, or happy to travel. This is a private tutoring role in where you go to the student's house to give the session. All parents are met with before and you are able to meet them over Zoom to ensure both parties are happy with you as a tutor. Our area currently covers Shoreham-by-sea, Lancing, Worthing and Goring.

**What we are looking for;**

We are looking for tutors mainly in English and Math but are open to Science. Experience is preferred but not essential as training can be given.

As a private tutor you will be responsible for planning high quality sessions to individual students, (we always work 1:1 to ensure the student gets the attention they deserve.) You will need to assess the students progress, find their weak points to improve on and provide feedback on their progress regularly. Lesson plans will need to be created, but at the beginning we are able to assist you with this.

This is a self-employed role, you will be paid weekly for the hours you have done and the hourly rate is reflected on experience.

**Responsibilities**
- Able to create engaging presentations, workbooks etc
- To deliver these to students
- Assist in new learning activities
- Help students grow
- Create lesson plans
- Provide feedback
- Ensure you are meeting the criteria
- Adhere to safeguarding, data privacy, whistleblowing and out helping hand policies and procedures
- Always use appropriate language and behavior with students

What we will do for you

**Qualifications**:

- A-levels or a Degree preferred but not essential

Desirable
- Experience teaching
- Familiar with google docs/ slides, Microsoft and Zoom (training can be given)
- Know the syllabus
