**Your new role**
- An exciting opportunity for an **Associate MSAT Scientist** to join our team
- The Associate MSAT Scientist will be responsible for providing technical support to cell and gene therapy manufacturing process technology transfer, process improvements, process troubleshooting, quality investigations and real-time on the floor guidance to Manufacturing personnel within the Manufacturing suite.
- You will work directly with an MSAT Associate Principal Scientist and/or MSAT Principal Scientist to deliver assigned technical projects/tasks and ensure project timelines are met according to internal and/or customer needs.
- Support the transfer of new processes/products into RoslinCT GMP manufacturing facilities, working directly with clients and/or RoslinCT’s development team.
- Responsible for the day-to-day running of the MSAT Pilot lab including lab cleaning, stock management, and equipment management.
- Write process batch records, standard forms or any other documentation required for the execution of the manufacturing process.
- Support with the completion of new material assessments, completing production material specifications and any related risk assessments.
- Develop SOPs and related technical documentation to support technology transfer and ongoing development of manufacturing projects.
- Assess and complete the bill of materials (BOM) for new manufacturing processes.
- Support with the troubleshooting of any process excursion/failures as required.
- Participate in root cause analysis of any process deviations and support with establishing appropriate CAPAs as required.
- Partner closely with the manufacturing team and support designing lean manufacturing processes.
- Provide on-plant guidance to the direct manufacturing team within the clean room during execution of technology transfer batches or any protocol driven manufacturing processes.
- Support with the onboarding of new equipment onto manufacturing/MSAT as required.

**About you**
- A minimum of 1 years’ experience within GMP manufacturing and/or process technology transfer roles.
- Hands-on cGMP experience with cell culture and various process manufacturing activities. Experience in working with iPSCs or hESC lines is preferable.
- Experience in working with different cell culture platforms including closed system manufacturing process e.g., bioreactors, cell processors is preferable.
- Experience in writing technical documentation such as process change controls batch records and standard operating procedures.
- High attention to detail, proven problem solver, self-motivated, and positive with a desire to develop technically in your area of expertise.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a proven track record in maintaining effective relationships and working with a wide range of people.
- Proven ability to learn and share knowledge with the rest of the manufacturing team and enable them to successfully perform new manufacturing process.
- Can do attitude with a determination to succeed and provide solution to complex problems.
- Contributes to identifying and completing continuous improvement activities to reduce costs, increase yield and productivity for the area.
- Exceptional organisation and planning skills with the ability to plan whilst delivering to deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to explain technical or complex concepts in a clear format to both technical and non-technical audiences.

**Qualifications**
- A degree in a Life Science discipline with at least 1 year experience in GMP manufacturing preferably in a Cell and Gene therapy industry.
