Would you like to be part of a small and dynamic team responsible for running events, wedding & filming in some of Oxford’s most beautiful and historic spaces?

Bodleian Libraries is seeking to appoint an Events Assistant to join its busy Enterprises department. The post holder will be responsible for assisting with the operational delivery and the marketing of the Bodleian’s unique event spaces.

You will need to be experienced at dealing with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external to ensure weddings and events run smoothly. This includes overseeing the operational aspects (including the production of detailed function sheets), overseeing and assisting with set up and meeting with clients onsite. You will work closely with colleagues in other Bodleian departments to ensure that best-practice policy guidelines and service standards are met.

Your work will contribute to income targets. You will have some previous experience of sales, marketing and coordinating events and a proven track record of providing outstanding customer service. You will need good interpersonal skills, employing tact, discretion and diplomacy, you will be able to take initiative when approaching decision making, planning and organising and be confident asserting rules when needed. You will also be a skilled multitasker with the ability to work under pressure in a busy environment as part of a team.

This post is being offered on a full-time, permanent basis and requires some evening, weekend and bank holiday working.
