**Site Team Assistant with School Minibus Driver duties**
**Monday to Friday, 6:30am - 4:30pm**
**37 hours per week plus overtime, 52 weeks per year**
**Salary: £23,115 - £24,140**
We are recruiting a Site Team Assistant with Minibus Driver duties on a permanent basis.
The purpose of the role is to provide a caretaking, cleaning, porterage and routine maintenance service to meet the needs of the school, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and operational effectiveness, and compliance with health and safety requirements.
Other duties will include:
- coordinating and overseeing any contractors on site,
- stock
- taking and ordering of supplies,
- occasional out of hours call outs (eg. in response to alarm),
- responsibility for site security,
- grounds maintenance and helping to set up for events.
You should have previous experience of building maintenance and repair. Any experience working in a school environment or with children/young people would be ideal.
The role will also include minibus school runs at the beginning and end of the school day. You should have a good local knowledge and be able to use your initiative to resolve any situations, such as traffic problems, that may arise during transport. As part of the role you will be required to carry out minor maintenance and daily vehicle checks, re-fuelling of the vehicle and taking the vehicle for service and MOT as required.
A full clean driving licence is essential. You must be over 21 and have held your licence for at least 2 years. If your driving licence was issued after 1997 then you must be willing to undertake the theory and practical tests plus the medical examination required to obtain a D1 Licence. Additionally, a willingness to complete the MiDAS (Minibus Driver Awareness Scheme) certificate, if not already obtained, is required. Experience of driving larger vehicles would be desirable. Full training will be provided.
You will be joining a highly experienced site team and will be provided with support, training and full uniform.
