Here at EW Recruitment Services we are working alongside a leading manufacturing company specialising in delivering high-quality structural steel projects who are recruiting for Platers to join their existing team due to growth within the company.

As a Plater/Fabricator with a background in structural steel, you will play a vital role in their fabrication team. Your primary responsibilities will include reading and interpreting technical drawings, accurately measuring and cutting steel materials, and assembling steel structures following engineering specifications. Your expertise in welding, shaping, and joining various components will be crucial to ensure the precision and integrity of their final products.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Interpret technical drawings and engineering plans to fabricate structural steel components.
- Use various tools and machinery to cut, shape, and weld steel materials.
- Ensure accurate measurements and adherence to engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with the wider team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Inspect and assess the quality of finished products, making any necessary adjustments.
- Comply with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience as a Plater/Fabricator in the field of structural steel fabrication.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and engineering plans.
- Skilled in cutting, welding, and shaping structural steel components.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in workmanship.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to steel fabrication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet project requirements.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Temp to perm
Contract length: 13 weeks

**Salary**: From £17.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Richmond, North Yorkshire: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
