Kington St Michael CE Primary School is a small village school located just outside Chippenham. We are a popular school in an attractive rural setting, where expectations are high and standards consistently good. KSM is “an Outstanding school” (Ofsted, November 2014) and an Outstanding Church School (SIAMS, October 2016).

All about the role:
We are looking for an inspirational SENDCo to further develop and lead inclusion and SEND within the school, support our DSL and DDSL with child protection and safeguarding and join our highly committed team. This is a 2 day per week non-class based role.

The SENDCo will be responsible for the strategic development of Special Educational Needs and have oversight of day to day provision with the aim of raising SEND pupil achievement. The post holder will work with the Senior Leadership Team and staff to ensure all pupils' learning is of equal importance and that high and realistic expectations are maintained.

- Have the SEND national qualification
- Are committed and passionate about learning and ensuring high quality SEND provision for all
- Can lead, inspire and enable others
- Can develop the strategic development of SEN policy and provision in the school.
- Provide professional guidance to colleagues and work closely with outside professionals.
- Can communicate effectively with children, parents and staff and work as part of a team.
- Can help colleagues develop and flourish through support and training.

**Hours of work: 0.4 FTE - 2 days per week.**
