**About The Role**

As the Workforce Inclusion Officer you will play a vital role, supporting the Workforce Inclusion Manager, to develop and implement an Inclusion Strategy that ensures EDI is the golden thread which, along with our values, runs through all the Trusts workforce strategies. You will provide expert advice and support to managers in relation to all aspects of EDI and use data to drive evidence-based decision making and the development of EDI plans.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Reporting to the Workforce Inclusion Manager, support managers and Heads of Service to develop their local plans for inclusion and ensure appropriate monitoring and evaluation of key goals underpinning our wider People and Culture Plan.
- Manage the workforce elements of the public sector equality duty, gender pay gap actions, workforce equality objectives and the EDI workforce elements of BCFT’s Business Plan, working closely with colleagues across the People and Talent team.
- Monitor EDI compliance and progress in the linked to both the delivery of the People and Culture Plan, as well as Recruitment, Progression and Retention plans (including conducting exit interviews) highlighting issues of non-compliance to the workforce Inclusion Lead and where appropriate through ELT.
- Produce reports as required on matters of diversity and inclusion and support the design, development, and implementation of specific relating to consultation events and projects to ensure that Trust level equality action plan(s) and Equality Impact Assessment processes are appropriate and timely.
- Work across the People and Talent Team to support delivery of employee engagement and to develop resources & training specifically for EDI and retention planning for staff and managers.
- Work strategically with partners and support the work of the staff support networks to develop a distinct role and voice within the Trust working with the joint networks.

**About You**
- Proven track record of working effectively within an equality, diversity, and inclusion context in a complex organisation.
- Experience of working closely with operational teams to deliver outcomes which have a positive impact.
- Experience of designing and delivering initiatives concerned with promoting engagement and voice from the workforce.
- The ability to developing, implementing, and using a monitoring framework for inclusion outputs and outcomes.
- Ability to both undertake, and coach others in the development of, Equality Impact Assessments.
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders, managing differences and identifying / maximising similarities
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and professionalism in handling sensitive information.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
