Warehouse Supervisor

Wessex Pictures is a privately owned market leading wholesaler to the picture framing trade with branches nationwide. We are currently looking for a reliable and enthusiastic person to join us as a Warehouse Supervisor in a full-time capacity.

**Your Role**:
As the head office for the company, the warehouse team plays a crucial role in supplying other branches nationwide and customers across the south and south-west directly. As the Warehouse Supervisor, you will report to the Warehouse Manager and your primary responsibility will be supervising a warehouse team and overseeing the day-to-day warehouse operations.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**:

- Provide leadership and guidance to the warehouse personnel, offering coaching and support to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Plan and prioritize daily activities, including receiving, storing, and dispatching goods.
- Enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment and compliance with health and safety regulations for all team members.
- Conduct training for new team members on warehouse procedures, equipment operation, and company policies.
- Assist in daily warehouse operations, such as receipt and put-away of deliveries, processing returns and sales orders, glass cutting, loading delivery vans and dispatching sales orders.
- Ensure a clean, sanitary, and safe work area is maintained.

**Experience and Skills**:

- Essential to have a Counterbalance forklift licence.
- Proficient in IT.
- Educated to at least GCSE Grade C (equivalent or above) in Maths and English.
- Flexible and resilient with great attention to detail.
- Strong focus on health and safety practices.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work effectively in a team.
- Capable of working independently and taking initiatives.
- Comfortable working under pressure.

**Salary**: £26,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
