**Role Purpose**
The Junior Supply Planner is accountable for the planning processes of a given set of SKU's and supply points, on the short, medium and long term horizons. The Senior supply Planner is responsible for achieving target customer service levels while optimizing the trade-offs between production capacity constraints, inventory levels and waste, ensuring lowest total cost for the organisation. The role provides the bridge between the central, deployment and supply point supply teams and the local market and is the voice for UKI requirements within a global production framework.
**Role Focus**
- Responsible for managing stock to targeted inventory levels
- Manage and monitor shelf life challenges and write-off risks, proposing mitigating actions as appropriate (central/local teams) to minimise costs.
- Anticipate over/under capacities and propose solutions in the immediate and medium term to avoid availability issues
- Lead and manage capacity checking process and confirmation for activities eg; promotions, sampling
- Present none mitigated issues in 'Availability Meetings' for escalation/resolution
- Manage communications clearly for any Out of Stock situations with relevant stakeholders, including Customer Collaboration team, Sales, Marketing and Medical teams
- Work closely with Demand Planning, sales, inventory & Customer Collaboration to understand short, medium and long term demand and share knowledge of supply horizon to improve performance and anticipate issues, co-building preventative solutions
- Proactively engage cross functionally on new product introductions, range changes and discontinuations
- Ownership for setting optimum safety stock levels, defining best practice processes & driving improvements with nominated Supply Points.
- Contribute to Innovation projects from Go Implement stage gate, including Phase-In/Phase-Out, representing Supply Planning in SteerCo meetings.
- Report and animate Supply Planning KPIs
About you
**As a successful Junior Supply Planner we would love to see you demonstrate**:
- Supply Chain / Supply planning functional experience 1-2+ years
- System experience (SAP / APO) as role is heavily system focused
- Exceptional excel skills
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Strong data analysis skills, able to produce, interpret and draw conclusions from data
- Volatile product planning experience (NPD, highly promotional etc)
