Ascot Doors are the largest independently owned steel door manufacturer in the UK.
An exciting position has become available for a qualified Design Draughtsperson at our Bolton head office.
As a Design Draughtsperson you will be responsible for producing general arrangement drawings of our industrial door package, managing its design progress from point of sale through to design completion whilst providing internal design support as required.
About the Role:
- Produce G.A. 2D drawings & coordinate Design approval.
- Issue costs for additional items, where necessary, to our customers & seek the necessary instructions
- Participate in conference calls with a multitude of trades to progress design approval
- Maintain & manage internal records & paperwork relating to live projects
- Support internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience is achieved.
- Manage and maintain document extranet websites, specific to each order, where necessary
Skills required:
- Proficient with AutoCAD 2D
- Ability to read & understand technical drawings from a range of construction oriented suppliers
- Efficient time management skillset
- Proficient with MS Office packages
- Professional experience within a design role
- A proficient knowledge of the construction industry from a design or on-site perspective
Skills Preferred:
- A proficient knowledge of the construction industry from a design or on-site perspective
- Previous Industrial door experience
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- No weekends
**Experience**:
- AutoCAD: 1 year (preferred)
