Apprentice Plumber

**Why are you here?**

Reporting to the Property Services Manager, the Apprentice Plumber will contribute to all areas of plumbing within repairs, maintenance, servicing, and planned works. The apprentice will also complete a range of maintenance activities to a diverse customer base for Great Places Housing Group.

**What you’ll be doing, over time and with training and supervision of an experienced operative**
- Providing a first class plumbing service in respect of the maintenance of all domestic sanitary appliances e.g. bathrooms, sinks, taps, drainage
- Locating and identifying leaks
- Repairing or replacing pipes and parts
- Determining the right tools and equipment necessary to successfully complete the assigned job
- Communicating with various teams across the business
- Respecting customer homes, leaving them clean and safe
- Treating your customers with respect and empathy
- Working 39 hours per week, starting from 8:00am

**What you’ll need**
- GCSE maths and English or equivalent at grade C/4 or above, would be preferred
- Good communication and willingness to build good rapport with customers
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as using your own initiative
- Keen eye for detail
- Good level of ICT skills and the ability to use technology such as a mobile phone, tablet and laptop
- Eagerness undertake training and development
- Positive and constructive outlook
- Be able to attend college as part of the apprenticeship programme
- Commitment to completing all parts of the apprenticeship
