**About the role**

JFD is looking to recruit a Head of HSEQS (Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Sustainability) to join our Senior Leadership team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an influential and strategic individual to make a real difference in an exciting and growing industry. This role can be based from either our Aberdeen or Inchinnan office and we will also consider hybrid working.

The key role for the Head of HSEQS will be the Strategic development of the HSEQ management systems, which enables the safe and successful delivery of business operations accountability, including:

- Accountable for JFD Quality Assurance programme and to comply with International Management of JFD certification to ISO 9001 (Quality), the ISM Code and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety);
- Enables JFD to deliver products, projects and services to an acceptable level of quality to customer requirements, regulatory standards and insurable standards.
- Ensures that JFD’s work practices comply with legislation, company standards, and customer requirements.
- Provides business assurance for HSEQ, Business Continuity and UK protective security Accountable for ensuring the development and smooth and efficient running of all JFD Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management systems with due consideration to the constraints within a commercial entity;
- Pre-empt a range of circumstance that may require swift and timely action at any level in the business to protect the interest of the business with due considerations for the commercial implications any resulting actions may have;
- Proactively develop HSEQ initiatives, with a view to continual improvement and evolution of JFD HSEQ Culture;
- Act as senior representative for the company advising and managing interaction with HSE and regulatory agencies;
- Assist and advise Directors and operational teams on Risk Assessments and safe systems of work as required (generic and specific);
- Structure, develop and lead a high performing team in pursuit of HSEQ objectives instilling ownership, responsibility and accountability;
- Identify, develop and implement resourcing planning, talent management and succession planning in line with business needs;
**What do you need?**
- Experience of leading large HSEQ teams across multiple locations;
- Higher qualification in HSE and Quality such as a national certificate or degree;
- Detailed knowledge of legal and legislative frameworks around HSEQ globally;
- Knowledge of ISO requirement and compliance criteria;
- Experience managing audit programs and corrective action procedures;
- Qualified internal HSEQ internal auditor;
- Qualified Lead Auditor in Quality;
- Qualified ISM Code Internal Auditor;
- Experience and understanding of risk assessments, incident investigations and root cause analysis techniques;
- Full driving licence and flexible for travel to local or overseas sites as required.
