**Fixed Term Contract** - until **March 31st 2026**; however, if budgets allow the contract length may be extended and/or become permanent, though this is not guaranteed.

**Location**: Hybrid - Works part in the office (Gun Wharf) and part from home

**Working Pattern**: Full Time/Part Time

**Hours**: 37 hours per week. Part time will also be considered for this role.

**Job Summary**:
You must be CIPD qualified and have experience of organisational change as a HR professional, with up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and high professional standards.

**Responsibilities**:

- To co-ordinate and promote the delivery of HR organisational change in relation to a review of terms and conditions with a specific focus on pay and rewards, organisational design and development, culture change and good practice.
- To support the Project Director, Project Manager and the HR Business Partner Team with the development and implementation of organisational change.
- Identify risks and co-ordinate risk mitigation activities to ensure the successful delivery of the organisational change programme.
- To support the development of business cases for organisational change, undertake formal and informal staff consultation processes, ensuring that statutory requirements are met.
- Ensure the effective co-ordination and delivery of administrative duties and financial/budget assessment to support the implementation of organisational change.
- Collate and present data for the project team, Corporate Management Team, senior and line managers to enable assessments and monitoring of progress against project objectives.
- Design and deliver communication events such as training or awareness raising sessions through a variety of mediums.
- At the discretion of the Head of Service, such other activities as may from time to time be agreed consistent with the nature of the job described above.

- Promote the Medway Carbon Neutral by 2050 commitment; supporting the Council action plan to ensure to play a part in addressing the climate emergency.

**Qualifications**
- GCSE’s A*- C in English and Maths or equivalent
- CIPD or equivalent HR qualification and/or extensive relevant experience
- Desirable: Project management qualification or relevant work related project management experience

**Knowledge**
- Employment legislation and its practical implications in relation to human resource management
- Practical and procedural knowledge of human resource management or an equivalent level of knowledge of organisational procedures and policy
- A good understanding of the value and use of technologies in improving services and modernising working process

**Experience**
- Working with senior managers to support organisational change programmes along with comprehensive understanding of the legal implications
- Trade union consultation and the ability to work constructively with trade union representatives
- Extensive end to end operational experience to deliver and support effective management of the HR and Payroll, and associated systems
- Working within a customer-focused organisation
- Supervision and co-ordination of employees

**Skills**
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Highly developed communication skills with the ability to present complex and/or sensitive information in an understandable way, using a variety of methods across a range of audiences
- Excellent organisational skills
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to deal with high levels of work-related pressure from deadlines, interruptions or conflicting dema
