**The Role**

Working closely with the Head of Department and Department Leadership Team, you will lead on the enhancement of HR/OB research and innovation in pedagogic practices.

As an Associate Professor (Reader), you will be expected to:

- Make a significant, esteemed and sustained academic contribution to teaching and learning (T&L).
- Be recognised as an authority with an emerging scholarly reputation in HR or OB.
- Make a significant contribution to the leadership, quality and development of HR/OB. Education within the department in a way which supports and enables our ambition.
- Have experience in design and delivery of authentic and multidisciplinary LTA.
- Possess knowledge and commitment to EDI and the design and delivery of an inclusive curriculum / assessment.
- Be innovative in your approach to helping us achieve excellence in providing a world-leading applied experience that supports outstanding student outcomes and experience.

**The Department of People and Performance**

The Department benefits from strong industry partners and we work with a number of leading organisations to provide applied learning opportunities for our students and jobs for our graduates. We also have long standing relationships with Professional Bodies including the CIPD and The Association of Business Psychology. Our graduates perform well in the labour market with 72% in highly skilled employment.

Research and innovation in the Department is driven through the Decent Work and Productivity Research Centre. The aim of the centre is to identify what causes - and who has - decent work and productivity, and what can be done to shape a bright future for the world of work. Working alongside organisations and policy makers, our research focuses on the changing nature of work, workplace wellbeing, creating greater diversity and social mobility in the workplace and generating decent and productive work in health and social care.
