Identify, and develop strategic relationships with regional/key employer partners and organisations and establish and grow a pipeline of sustainable employment opportunities within the region, for learners, with clear pathways for, further, in-work progressionopportunities.
Focussing on growth employment sectors to identify new opportunities and ensure we understand and can adapt to changing market demands.
Working in a collaborative manner with both external partners and internal colleagues/stakeholders to minimise duplication of effort, and ensure learner, personal, team and business objectives and key results are met.
Please note this is office based role Monday to Friday, 37.5 hrs per week.
**Essential Job Duties**
Employer:
- Identification, engagement and account management of key employer relationships to become the ‘recruitment partner of choice’ with an emphasis in priority sectors (especially Hospitality & Catering, Facilities, Health & Social Care, Business Administration& Customer Service and Logistics)
- Development and management of employment opportunity pipeline including ring fenced/guaranteed vacancies, work experience placements, job fairs etc.
- Co-ordination of recruitment activity to ensure employer needs are met.
- Expert advice, guidance and support e.g. workforce planning, training needs analysis
- Liaise with employers (and relevant stakeholders) to plan/co-design tailored high-quality training programmes and employment and progression pathways
- Facilitate and encourage employer support as part of the prescribed customer journey e.g. sector insight sessions, assessment centres
- Hold regular employer meetings to maintain engagement, monitor progress and emergent needs
- Regularly attending relevant local employment/sector-specific meetings, events and open days
- Manage caseload against KPIs and the Performance Support and Management Framework
- Working with employers, proactively, to provide a pathway for learners who gain employment with them to then be able to achieve an in-work progression outcome (e.g. increased salary/hours, and/or promotion)
- Facilitate ‘in-work’ support activities (inc. tri-partite employer discussions) alongside Coaches (Mentors) for learners entering employment
- Supporting the Employer Engagement colleagues across the business/at all levels with key account management of Strategic/National partners, sharing of best practice/leads and market insight/feedback from key employers/organisations.
- If required, work with the Operations Manager and Referral Co-ordinators to engage and support the regional partner organisations, which are identified through the strategic plan(s) (e.g LAs, WMCA, CPN partners etc) with account management, specific relationshipownership and subsequent development of programmes.
- Track/measure outcomes via employer feedback/surveys informing continuous improvements
- Undertake any other tasks and responsibilities appropriate to the level of this post.
- To work flexibly as required, which may require some working during evenings and weekends.
- Comply with all Maximus policies and procedures including all statutory responsibilities; including and not limited to Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Prevent and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
Customer:
- Acting as an ‘ambassador’ for learners who require extra support, to identify and agree workplace adjustments e.g working interviews, job carving etc.
- Work closely with internal colleagues to ensure learners meet the expectations of employers and are fully prepared for the transition into work.
- Share Market knowledge and intelligence to help identify, and address potential barriers to work e.g. skills gaps, and training.
- Support internal teams to better prepare learners through a shared understanding of job specifications and requirements.
Compliance:
- Ensuring a clear audit trail by recording activity within our MIS/CRM or equivalent
- Ensure compliance with MAXIMUS policies and procedures, so as to achieve nil compliance issues from audit
- Support colleagues to collate ‘employer paperwork’ in line within contractual obligations (e.g. to evidence outcomes).
- Comply with security practice to ensure customer/employer data is always dealt with in a confidential and secure way, and in line with GDPR
Performance & Team Work:
- Achieve individual and team targets to support wider MAXIMUS success
- Close working with internal and external colleagues to ensure maximum return (inc. supporting any new colleagues)
- This position will involve frequent travel within your designated region to employers, other business organisations, events and/or to visit MAXIMUS sites (inc. any outreach location/s).
**Education and Experience Requirements**
**Qualifications & Experience**
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at C or above including English Language and Maths, is preferred
- Proven experience in a senior level sales role including ‘relationship selling’ - dealing with Small, Medium to Large Enterprises
- Proven success in achievement of targets in a high-performance culture
- Proven track record in exceeding stretching sales/performance targets
- Previous experience in skills, employability or a related Service industry e.g. recruitment
- A track record of engaging and supporting employers face-to-face and remotely
- Strong account management/client development skills
- Experience of forging strong relationships with Internal & External Stakeholders
- Full driving license / vehicle owner and willingness to travel across the Region/UK
